European Escapades: A Short Film

TO WATCH THE SHORT FILM, PLEASE OPEN THE VIDEO BELOW IN FULLSCREEN AND TURN YOUR VOLUME UP.

As you probably well know, myself and my pal Tayla went on a quick two month galavant through three of north-western Europe's most revelled cities: London, Paris, and Amsterdam. We ate vegan croissants, cruised the canals in long boats, ate Speculoos cookie butter straight from the jar, went to blues bars, stayed with poets, actresses, DJs, and dribbly old cats, and by the end of our trip we had accumulated extra 20kg of vintage clothing, books, and Vego chocolate bars. It was one of the most indulgent and amazing experiences of my life.

I made this short film documenting some of the more visually appealing moments of our travels - at first I had a few copyright issues as a result of using Jamie XX's wonderful song 'Loud Places', however it has decided to right itself and I can proudly display my work in all its pink-skied, overly-scripted glory! There is a segment of audio I forgot to mute, and as a result you can hear me drawling 'crouch end, marshy ground' in an attempt to make Tayla smile for the camera. I promise I am not as feral as it may seem!

Anyway, after all the heartache and lost hours that went into the making (and attempted sharing) of my video, please enjoy the final product! I am so proud of my first short film, and I hope that it is just the beginning of my crappy homemade movie career.
